Dennis Gilbride
Syracuse University

Dennis Gilbride, Ph.D., C.R.C., has worked in the rehabilitation field since 1981, first as a rehabilitation counselor and placement specialist and since 1989 as a professor. Dr. Gilbride is currently professor and coordinator of the Rehabilitation Counseling Program at Syracuse University, New York. He has published numerous articles and book chapters related to employment issues for persons with disabilities and has been the Co-PI on two prior NIDRR grants on issues related to the employment of people with disabilities. Dr. Gilbride is currently the Principal Investigator on a project that is part of the Employment Services Systems Research and Training Center. He is a national expert on placement strategies for persons with disabilities, serves on the Editorial Board for Rehabilitation Counseling Bulletin, and Rehabilitation Education, and was a Mary Switzer Scholar (1993).
