This is the second of five webinars in the TACE Transition Webinar Strand: Work Experiences for Youth. This webinar will provide a discussion of the various types of unpaid work experiences that may be used in the transition of students with disabilities from school to adult employment. Over the years the common practice has been for transition personnel to simply develop a number of experience settings in the community with willing employers and to cycle students through the settings for a set time period. This webinar will examine useful distinctions that educators and rehabilitation personnel should consider to offer a series of experiences that become more individualized and customized as the student reaches the transition age from school to adult employment.
