There are many ways to effectively navigate and work within a school district. Regular exchange of information can strengthen a student’s support system and increase the likelihood of successfully transitioning from school to training, education and meaningful careers. Providing resources and materials to engage students advances the school and agency’s missions. Assisting teachers and students with an unmet need is critical to establishing a mutually beneficial relationship. These and other simple practices can greatly reduce the demand placed on both teachers and counselors, making work more manageable. Educators and counselors can expect to see marked improvement in their performance indicators by implementing practices provided in this training.
