Description

This presentation will provide participants the opportunity to share the marketing strategies that they have developed to better position their organization's employment services in their local labor market.   Based on the completed marketing tools (worksheets) and strategies that are shared in the time between the two webinars, specific participants will be asked to share their experiences in marketing their employment services.  Participants will be able to compare and contrast their marketing strategies with the marketing efforts of other webinar participants.   Participants will be encouraged to provide input and feedback that will better define the benefits of their employment programs.

Participants will:

  • Review how specific employment programs are positioning their organization and employment services
  • Share the features and benefits of their employment services based on the program's experience, skills and knowledge
  • Discuss the range of marketing strategies developed and/or available to better position their organization's employment services

Webinar Agenda

  • Discussion on how participants defined their labor market and assessed competition amongst employment service providers
  • Review worksheets and discuss how workshop participants have developed the features and benefits of their employment services
  • Review worksheets and discuss how workshop participants have developed their marketing strategies based on desired employment program outcomes
  • Identify next steps for participants in conducting additional market research and marketing strategies

The Southeast TACE is expanding its Job Development Exchange (JDX) in response to needs identified by job developers. The JDX will strengthen job developers’ capacity to maximize employment opportunities for individuals with the most significant disabilities.

Participants will also learn about the Southeast TACE Job Development Exchange (JDX).  The JDX will provide state vocational rehabilitation agencies (VR) and community rehabilitation providers (CRPs) responsible for job development with the information and tools they need to successfully engage employers and address a wide range of barriers to employment. It will offer a series of Professional Learning Experiences on priority topics identified by job development professionals. Each package will be comprised of:

  1. A webinar
  2. User-ready resources
  3. Structured opportunities to network via a listserv with colleagues, businesses, and national authorities
